WWT Martin Mere’s autumn festival brings together migratory birds, guest speakers, exhibitors, guided walks and wildlife photography. Sony will be there with Alpha cameras and lenses, joined by wildlife photographer Terry Donnelly. Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 October 2026, in Europe/London (BST, UTC+1). The reserve opens at 8:00 AM each day; the grounds and visitor centre open at 9:00 AM. Closing time is 7:00 PM Saturday and 6:00 PM Sunday, with last admission at 5:00 PM. The site closes overnight. Venue: WWT Martin Mere Wetland Centre, Fish Lane, Burscough, Lancashire L40 0TA. Free parking is available at the centre. Centre admission is included for WWT members. Non-members need an admission ticket, available on the day; current standard adult prices without an optional donation are £17.10 online in advance or £19.00 on the day.
