A Bookend begins like a cover and lives like a room
How the reader-facing book space connects to ARTSSN, Blinding Visuals Press and IPFN.
Kilian Liptrot
A Bookend begins like a cover and lives like a room.
The cover gives a book its identity. The room gives readers a place to return: a space for the book's story, supporting material and conversation. Bookend connects that reader-facing space to the work managed in ARTSSN and, where registered, to its IPFN record.
For a reader
Start with the title and edition you are looking at. A Bookend can bring together book details, extras, events, a guestbook and TableTalks. The content available depends on what the author or publisher has actually made public.
A public book page, an invitation to a conversation and a purchase are different things. Check the specific page for access and current purchase terms. The existence of a Bookend does not mean that a print run is open or that a copy is available to buy.
For an author or publisher
ARTSSN is the working home for projects, writing, images, collaborators and publishing tools. Bookend is the book's reader-facing home.
Keep the public essentials clear: title, edition, author, publisher where applicable, what the reader can access and where to find the work's supporting record. Add material that serves the book, rather than treating the page as a container that must be filled.
Publishing a page, registering a claim and taking a paid order are separate actions. Each needs its own confirmation. A draft, a scheduled publication or a print-run proposal should not be described as a completed release.
What IPFN contributes
An IPFN links a registered claim to a public record. Inspect that record for the claimant, exact-file fingerprint and any completed certificate, pin or anchor receipts.
The identifier does not decide copyright ownership. An ISBN and an IPFN serve different purposes; a link to one should not be presented as a replacement for the other. Reader comments and guestbook entries are not automatically blockchain records.
Our guide to reading an IPFN record explains those evidence boundaries, including AI declarations and C2PA compatibility. The IPFN learning guide explains the underlying record and ledger concepts.
What a QR code means
A QR code can take a reader to the associated web address. Its continued usefulness depends on the domain, hosting and service remaining available. It is not a promise that a link can never break.
For an important reference, keep the book's title and edition alongside its identifier and public record link. That gives a reader more context than an unexplained code alone.
One connected ecosystem
- ARTSSN is the place to make and manage creative work.
- Bookend is a living digital home for a book and its readers.
- Blinding Visuals Press is the publishing house.
- IPFN is the public record associated with a registered claim and its available evidence.
These roles connect, but they are not interchangeable. Using Bookend does not itself establish a publishing contract with Blinding Visuals Press or institutional approval of a work.
Find your next step
Read the Bookend overview, explore published Bookends, or start from ARTSSN.
The aim is simple: give the book a clear front door, useful material inside and a reason for its readers to come back.
Product explanation reviewed October 1, 2026. Features and content should be judged by the specific published page and its current state.
For the institutional perspective, read IPFN: claims, evidence and European trust, with primary European sources and explicit standards and legal-status boundaries.
